11. How do I adjust my ink usage settings?
When you first enter the Ink/Toner Saving Options panel, make sure that the checkbox labelled 'Enable Ink/Toner Saving' is checked. This will unlock the slider bar. By sliding it to the left or right, you can increase and decrease the percentage of ink saved during printing – the percentage is shown in the box labelled 'Ink/Toner saving ratio'. If you would prefer to adjust the ink ratio using numbers, you can also type the percentage you want into this box. When you are satisfied with your ratio choice, click the menu labelled 'Type of Printer' and choose one according to what kind of printer you are planning to use ecoPrint2 with (4 colour inkjet, laser, etc).
Once you are finished adjusting these parameters, click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the panel. This will enable the settings you have chosen so you that can use them immediately.

13. How do I use the Paper Statistics?
To open Paper Statistics, either click on the little green leaf icon [
] in the short cut menu
or click on 'Help' and select 'Paper Statistics...'
Paper Statistics is another calculator which gives you the approximate cost of paper saved and and CO2 reduced by using the software. You can either check the environmental effects of your previous usage of the software or estimate the amount of money you have saved.
To calculate the amount of paper saved, CO2 reduced and trees saved during the past months, just enter the bracket of months you would like to include in your calculations (May to August, for example). The default environmental stats are for A4 size sheets of paper, but if you have specific statistics involving the CO2 reduction / sheet (defaults to 5.3360g) or the Tree saved / sheet (defaults to 0.000120), you can enter your own stats. This will tell you how many pages of document have been printed, how much paper you have saved, how many grams of CO2 you have reduced and how many trees you have saved by using ecoPrint2 Pro Ink and Paper Saver. Keep watching the rectangular box; after extended use, something may grow there!
To predict how much money you have saved, enter the sum you have used on printing into 'Total Printing Cost', ink and paper cost included. Enter the number of sheets you have used into 'Total sheets used' and the cost of each sheet into 'Paper cost / sheet'. Lastly, enter the ink/toner saving ratio you have been using into 'Average Ink/Toner saving ratio'. This will give you the total printing cost saved and the percentage of cost saved.
14. How do I print multiple pages on a single page?
The multiple page settings are under the 'View' menu on the menu bar. There are also shortcuts on the toolbar for quick access. You can print 2, 4, 6, 8 or 16 pages on one sheet of paper.
15. How do I adjust the margins on a document?
There are two different methods of adjusting margins. One method is through the 'Page Margins' menu in the Option Settings window, which applies a general margin to all the pages automatically. This is the fastest method, though this only allows you to increase the size of the margins beyond their current size.
The second, more in-depth method is the 'Page Setup' window found under the 'File' menu on the menu bar. The margin settings on this window allow you to make negative margins and give you the choice of applying the settings to one or all of the pages.
16. How can I combine multiple documents into a single print project?
ecoPrint2 Pro lets you add pages from multiple documents into the same print project. This is particularly useful if you want to print pages from different documents on a single page. Just open the document you want to add to the print project and print it to 'ecoPrint2', as if you were starting a new print project – this will add your document to the current print project.
17. How do I change the order of the pages?
You can change the order of the pages in your document from the Preview window. This also applies to multiple pages printed on a single page of the print project.
First of all, select the page (or in this case, mini-page) that you want to move by clicking on it. This should create a blue outline around the page. The page order options are in the 'Edit' menu on the menu bar. Choose where you want to move your selected page: to the very first page, to the previous page, to the next page, or to the very last page.
If you have a specific placement in mind for the page you want to move, use the "Move Selected Page to ..." option and pick which page you want to move to from the drop-down menu.
18. How do I rotate content?
As is often the case with print projects involving multiple file types, sometimes you may need to rotate the content of a single page.
The Rotation options can be found under the 'Edit' menu or the right-click menu. ecoPrint2 Pro allows you to rotate 90 degrees in either direction, as well as 180 degrees to turn the document 'upside down'.
19. How do I delete pages or insert blank pages?
The Delete Page and Insert Blank Page options can be found under the 'Edit' menu or the right-click menu. The 'Delete Page' option is fairly straightforward, but you can choose to insert a blank page before or after the selected page.
20. How do I print in alternate paper sizes?
If you wish to print on alternate paper sizes, you will need to specify this in the Print Setup. The same goes for orientating the paper in a Portrait or Landscape fashion. The Print Setup behaves pretty much identically to the ones in other printing-enabled programs.
For example, to adjust the paper size to legal, go to 'Print Setup' in the File menu and adjust the paper size to 'Legal'.
21. How do I add custom paper sizes?
Custom Paper Sizes are useful if the paper size you wish to print to cannot be found in paper size selection list.
To create your own custom paper size:

- The 'Add Custom Paper Sizes' window will appear

- Adjust the Paper width, height and margins as desired

or selecting 'File' --> 'Print' - This will open the print dialogue window
- Select the printer you wish to print to

- Select your custom paper size then click 'OK'
22. Can I save a print project for later use?
After you are finished creating a print project, ecoPrint2 Pro also allows you to save it as an image file for later use. Projects can be saved in BMP, TIF, DCX, EMF, GIF, JPG, MNG, PCD, PCX, PIC, PSD, PNG, or TGA format.
23. How do I edit and save margin settings?
Before printing from the preview window, you can choose to edit the margins.
To edit your margins for the current document:
- Click on a page of your current document
- Select 'File' --> 'Page Setup'

- The Page Setup window will appear

- Adjust the left, right, top and bottom margins as desired (units are in mm)
- Select 'Set margins to all pages' if you wish to have the changes apply to all pages of your current document. (The default choice only applies to the current page)
- Click 'OK' when you are finished
If you wish to keep your margin settings permanently, please use the 'Add Custom Paper Sizes' function.
24. What's the difference between the two "Laser Quality saving options" ?
The two Laser Quality saving options are two standard laser printer resolutions.
This option is found in the 'Ink/Toner Saving Options' window

If your printer is a laser printer, you will need to select either option A or B.
Typically, option A is compatible with most laser printers, but if you find that the quality of print is not high enough, then choose option B.
25. How do I set ecoPrint as the default printer after installation?
To set 'ecoPrint2' as the default printer after installation, you must do so through your Windows operating system.
